A naturopath for women who are exhausted, hormonally out of balance, and tired of being dismissed.
Women navigating perimenopause and menopause. Women whose thyroid is "technically in range" but who feel anything but well. Women who are burnt out, wired and tired, running on cortisol and caffeine, and quietly wondering if this is just what life feels like now.
It isn't. And you deserve better than that answer.
At Sacred Origins Health, I take a root-cause approach — not patching over symptoms, but finding out why they're happening in the first place. Because when you address the actual root cause, everything starts to shift.
My path to naturopathy wasn't a straight line.
It was shaped by two women — my mother, and the version of myself I almost lost.
My Mother's Story
I grew up watching my mother battle depression after losing the love of her life. As a child I didn't fully understand what was happening — I just knew that the woman with the beautiful, radiant smile had gone somewhere I couldn't reach.
She spent long hours in bed with the curtains drawn. She cycled through prescription after prescription. Her weight fluctuated. The insomnia and anxiety never really left. And through all of it, I had the persistent feeling that the real issue — the why behind everything — was never truly being addressed.
I grew up in a medically minded household. My father was a doctor, my mother a nurse. I saw up close how the side effects of medications were often overlooked — how treating only the symptoms could create new problems beyond the original condition. It planted a seed in me early: there had to be a better way.
Years later, my mother found her way back. She began exercising regularly with a group of women who became her community. She started shopping at growers' markets, making nourishing broths and soups, choosing organic produce and filtered water. She found the things that fed her body and her soul — and slowly, the woman I remembered came back.
Watching that happen changed how I understood health forever.
My Own Story
When my first daughter was two months old, I fell apart.
I was sleep-deprived, anxious, and felt like I was losing my mind. Heart palpitations. A racing pulse. Erratic mood swings. I was losing weight and simultaneously felt wired and utterly exhausted.
I went to my GP feeling embarrassed and desperate. The prescription for antidepressants came quickly. I refused to take them — not out of stubbornness, but out of a deep, instinctive sense that something else was driving this. That my body was trying to tell me something, and no one was listening.
I pushed for further testing. Sure enough, I was diagnosed with postpartum thyroiditis — a thyroid condition that had been mimicking the symptoms of postnatal depression from the start.
That experience — being dismissed, then discovering the real root cause — became the foundation of everything Sacred Origins Health stands for.
Because hormonal imbalances profoundly shape how we feel emotionally and mentally. Because our environments, our diets, our stress levels, the chemicals in our food and water and everyday products — all of it affects our hormone balance in ways most standard medical appointments never explore.
And because I believe that to truly heal — physically, emotionally, and mentally — you have to look at the whole picture. Not just one piece of it.
